allformertoo One of, if not the best EATEOT fan album. Takes the general idea, turns it on its head and makes for a really cool journey. I already love science and evolution, so this was perfect for me. Amazing soundscapes, excellent ambient and just overall really good Favorite track: R1 - Volume 8 Holocene Extinction Event.

about

Inspired by The Caretaker's Everywhere at the End of Time, This series of albums dives deep into the past of life itself. Each part represents a part of the timeline of life on Earth, starting with unicellular life.

Volume 1 (A-D):
The beginning. There is not much here, unicellular life is just starting to appear and feed off of chemical soup. A couple thousand million years later, unicellular life forms begin to feed off of sunlight, otherwise known as, photosynthesis. After the oxygen crisis, cells with nucleuses begin to appear, these are called Eukaryotes. Eventually, these Eukaryotes begin to colonize into groups, therefore causing multicellular life. It only gets bigger from here.

Volume 2 (E-F):
After the long and cold Cryogenian Period, multicellular life begins to grow and sprout, because of this, many different types of organisms are appearing. The biodiversity continues to rise.

Volume 3 (G-H):
There has been an explosion of life due to possibly an increase of oxygen or calcium. This is known as the Cambrian Explosion. Biodiversity is everywhere. Ecosystems are being made. Predators are capturing prey. Adaptations are being developed as time goes on. But with life, comes death. However, life will move on and adapt.

Volume 4 (I-J):
Life continues to grow, and now it seems that it's growing outside of the sea. Plants are appearing everywhere, and species are adapting to explore the unknown of the surface. However, this will all change with time.

Volume 5 (K-L):
Due to the warming of Earths climate, and volcanic activity, there has been a massive extinction event that wiped out nearly all of life on Earth. There is little left, but life will find a way to move on.

Volume 6 (M-N):
Plants and wildlife are thriving and growing. Hundreds of new species appear, along with dinosaurs dominating the earth. Life seems to only get more and more complex.

Volume 7 (O-P):
After the Dinosaurs's reign, what's left is mammals. As life marches forward, these mammals adapt not just their physical capabilities, but their intellect as well. This is the age of primates, and it will soon grow to be something much bigger.

Volume 8 (Q-R):
The Homo sapien, also known as humans, has become the dominant species on Earth due to their high intellect. They use the planet to its own advantage, but slowly destroys it in the process, which may lead it to their own demise. It is unknown what happens next, but time continues to move forward.

Volume 9 (S-V):
It is unknown what happens next, but time continues to move forward.
